Dr. Perlmutter brings 20-plus years of working with individuals and families experiencing complex psychological and behavioral healthcare difficulties. Kenneth serves on the Graduate Faculty at SF State's Counseling Dept. and is Associate Professor of Chemical Dependency Studies at CSU East Bay. He has overseen clinical staffing and programming while developing family programs and leading the clinical teams at Morningside Recovery in Newport Beach, Alta Mira Treatment Programs and The Boyer House Foundation where he worked for 14 years. Kenneth has a deep understanding of addiction, the co-occurring disorders that accompany it and effective treatment methods to help those suffering find recovery. Kenneth has also served on the clinical team at Sierra Tucson and is past president of the Marin County Dual Diagnosis Task Force. He sums up his work-life purpose as follows: "I have dedicated my career to improving the lives of individuals and families experiencing addiction or mental health difficulties and the associated physical, economic, interpersonal, and spiritual disorders so often involved."
