Reaching past symptoms with technology
Mind Therapy Clinic utilizes innovative approaches to treat the most common as well as complicated problems including - addiction, depression, anxiety, eating disorders and severe mental disorders. Trial and error, a frustrating aspect of current psychiatric treatment, is replaced with technology and objective approaches. A team of highly skilled doctoral – and masters–level specialists are available to provide a wide range of services carefully designed and planned to meet the unique needs of each of our clients.
Rather than solely relying on diagnostic protocols — the cataloging of symptoms such as sadness, fatigue, loss of appetite — we focus on finding biological clues associated with these symptoms in a blood test, a brain image or a saliva sample. These biomarkers, the concrete measurements of mental illness, are used to formulate the right treatment plan for each individual.
Neurofeedback - a natural approach to healing
Neurofeedback is a painless, non-invasive procedure that is used to train the brain to learn to function more efficiently. Neurofeedback is also called EEG-biofeedback. This technique is offered to those clients desiring a more holistic, natural approach to treatment than psychiatric medication. Because neurofeedback helps with better regulation of the brain, it can result in:
- Improved performance
- Better attention and concentration
- Focus and calm
- More control over emotions
- Resilience toward stress
- Better sleep
- Better control of behavior
EEG-informed psychiatric diagnosis and medication
PEER Online® is an exciting new technology that provides an objective, scientific basis for prescribing psychiatric medications. Dr. Schiller, Medical Director of the Mind Therapy Clinic has been an active member of the team developing and researching this technology. A patient’s EEG, a type of a brain scan, is analyzed to develop probabilities of response to a broad range of psychiatric medications by comparing it to data gathered from thousands of previous patients who exhibited similar EEG patterns and who achieved positive outcomes.
"Dr. Schiller's ability to listen, process and use a combination of scientific research and a pure gift for healing is unprecedented and amazing!"
