Halt addictive behavior and establish coping tools.

Emotions and Compulsions Using large and small-group activities, members are guided to clarify their motivation to halt addictive or compulsive behavior, establish coping tools to meet irrational thoughts, cravings and their underlying emotions. Members learn to rely on inner resources and insight in the service of creating consistent, committed behavior-changing techniques and emotional intelligence. Personal relapse prevention techniques will be developed and critical thinking exercises implemented. Group curriculum is informed from a variety of evidence-based modalities including Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Mindfulnesss-Based Relapse Prevention, SMART Recovery and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT).
