Exploring Healing with Grace and Openness

Jennifer M. Zanoli is a psychological associate who earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from the University of San Francisco and a Masters (M.A.) in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Francisco. Her clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in diverse settings in San Francisco and Marin.

Dr. Zanoli believes in the healing ability of the therapeutic process and welcoming individuals, couples, and families into a space where open exploration of one’s thoughts and feelings is held with grace, dignity, and respect. She strives to embody an approach of openness to allow for deep exploration (dreams, archetypes, symbolism, cultural practices) of one’s thoughts and feelings to generate movement toward healing and becoming oneself.

Dr. Zanoli has experience working with symptoms of anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, substance use disorders, borderline personality disorder, paranoid personality disorder, as well as chronic pain, end stage of physical illness issues, later life and elder care issues.

Dr. Zanoli works to understand early childhood influences, familial dynamics, school-based experiences, physical limitations, and strengths, as well as spiritual and cultural values in approaching one’s mental health. Her main areas of interest and training include Psychodynamic Therapy, Jungian Psychotherapy, Transference Focused Psychotherapy (TFP), Humanistic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy.

Dr. Zanoli loves hiking/walking in various places throughout the Bay Area, listening to music, reading, cooking, and a deep spiritual/meditation practice.
