Realms of Sexual Consent
This training explores issues and dilemmas of sexual consent that may arise in diverse sexual communities. We will review ways to work with clients whose lifestyle may be unfamiliar to individuals and treatment providers, concerns about sexual consent, the prevalence of sexual transgression, and a variety of approaches to repair and recovery after a boundary crossing has occurred, including restorative justice, that can be utilized to build a culture of consent.
At the end of the program, participants will be better able to:
Describe the consequences of a wide variety of dilemmas that may arise when there has been sexual transgression.
Explain appropriate interventions to both survivors and transgressors in therapy, to support recovery and resilience
List a range of possible solutions proven helpful to reduce sexual boundary crossings and restore and recover from the consequences, when transgression occurs, within the individual, between partners and in their communities
This training is free to clinicians. For 2 CEs, there's a $25 charge. Checks preferable, made out to Mind Therapy Clinic.
Teachings are appropriate for healthcare professionals as well as the general public. Healthcare professionals will be able to incorporate the tools and practices offered in this program in ways beneficial to clients or patients.
