The Stress and Addiction group is a process-oriented group that helps clients develop social skills, stress management, and self-awareness via peer interaction, support, and feedback.

Members learn that they are not alone in their suffering and foster a supportive community that will allow them to gain insight into their thoughts, feelings, and behavior; thus, will guide them toward a more fulfilling life.

This group is best suited for those struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma-related issues in addition to chemical dependence and/or other addiction, which can be defined as a coping strategy that has stopped working and is potentially life-threatening. The group supports clients who are abstinence-based as well as harm-reduction-focused. We also welcome those who are ambivalent and just want support around their change process. In essence, we focus on the underlying drivers of unhealthy, possibly harmful, coping strategies in order to create a new way of managing life and its difficulties.
