Compassionate DBT Psychotherapy: Healing Emotion Dysregulation and Complex Trauma

Helen is a DBT psychotherapist whose work is trauma-informed and grounded in psychodynamic theory training, relational group work, and liberation psychology practice. She specializes in treating emotion dysregulation (fear, anger, sadness, dissociation; even personality disorders and complex PTSD), and is deeply curious and enjoys exploring and adventuring, which is reflected attentively and inclusively she works as a therapist. At the same time, she is organized and structured and is highly motivated to guide patients in consistently working toward their treatment goals. 

Helen is Foundational-trained (Level 3) in Linehan's Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which includes training on adherent, comprehensive DBT teams, and continues to actively train and consult. She also has additional training in DBT-Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Brainspotting (BSP), and accelerated experiential dynamic psychotherapy (AEDP), and is a board member of The Group Foundation for Advancing Mental Health.
